The campaign’s primary objective was to announce and celebrate the launch of the platform’s first headquarters in Ghana. My team and I designed a culturally resonant social strategy for Twitter that went beyond a formal corporate announcement. We set out to empower Ghanaians to tell their own stories, experiences, and perspectives using familiar local expressions that felt true to their daily lives, ultimately giving Twitter a distinctly Ghanaian voice through the rallying cry #Ghana2TheWorld.
By putting the people’s voices at the center, we created a vibrant space for Ghanaians to showcase their identity, pride, and creativity in a way that was both organic and engaging. This approach not only introduced the platform in a manner that felt authentic and relatable but also elevated Ghana’s rich culture and diverse perspectives to a global audience. The result was a powerful celebration of Ghanaian heritage that merged local authenticity with international visibility.
